We have an effective and trusted method of creating engagement across communities. No two communities look the same, so our process adapts with each unique situation.

From dreaming to doing in six steps.

 

Mapping

Find out who is in the community, this is our discovery phase. Get inside the community to provide an organizational structure and a spark that enables every resident to fully participate in engagement activities and community improvement efforts.

 

Inviting

Asking community members to participate and have their voice heard. Knowing who needs to be in the room is part of the challenge, and a key component of how we ensure key stakeholders, and community leaders are part of the process.

 

Convening

Bringing them together. Start to hear their voices and see their faces. A series of meetings that expand the learning and the growing together. This is where the introductions, training, conflict resolution, conversations, trust-building, and appreciation for one another can happen. This is not a linear process. It is careful listening, and connecting that is messy, and raw, and improvised in real-time. Just like life.

Training

They don’t come knowing, or ready. Hello neighbor, go back to the community with questions, who am I? What matters to me? What’s important to me? Begin to build relationships, get to know each other, and prepare for the collaborate.

Facilitating

Holding the space to discuss what’s needed. Reveal the truth. We believe a great facilitator is a great listener, ego-less, patient, agenda-less, respectful. Where every voice is heard. We focus on getting the group to own the results.

Coaching

Guidance to carry this mindset into the world, to continue learning, and nurture these community building processes for all. Agreements are set to create ongoing accountability. Empowerment is woven into every step of the process.
